(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 6, Vinh City People's Committee and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a Conference to summarize the coordination program "Improving the quality of destinations and building a cultural tourism environment" between the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committees of Nam Dan District, Cua Lo Town and Vinh City, period 2013-2015.

The conference was chaired by comrade Ho Mau Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Also attending were comrades of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh City, Cua Lo Town, Nam Dan District and representatives of leaders of relevant units and departments.

Conference Overview

Promoting the potential and unique strengths of tourism in Nam Dan district, Vinh city and Cua Lo town, aiming to build sustainable destinations, creating a spreading effect to localities in the province. The coordination program of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the People's Committee of Nam Dan district, Cua Lo town and Vinh city in the period of 2013-2015 has created links to build tourism products, coordinate propaganda, promote destinations, train and develop tourism human resources; Organize cultural exchanges, organize events and build facilities and technical infrastructure; Build a healthy, friendly and hospitable cultural and tourism environment.

After three years of implementing the program, some results have been achieved: In Cua Lo, Song Ngu Son Joint Stock Company launched the Lan Chau - Ngu Island inland waterway tourism route by 14 - 26 seat speedboat to meet the tourism needs of tourists; Built and assessed and recognized 39 civilized restaurants; Introduced the model of singing folk songs, Giam to serve tourists at the Sea Daisy Park during the tourist season. Established the Cua Lo Mackerel Association, which has a product as a gift for visitors, which is Mackerel packed in vacuum bags; Formed the Hai Giang I Fish Sauce Village Association; at tourist attractions, products are sold to tourists to introduce and promote the local brand.

The Mai King Festival and Quang Trung Temple Festival were innovated in content by Nam Dan District and Vinh City in the direction of restoring traditional folk values ​​to attract tourists. The Vi Giam folk song performance model serving tourists at Kim Lien Tourist Area (Nam Dan) created a good impression and attracted a large number of visitors. The opening of the gallery of artifacts and documents related to the Tay Son era and the career of Emperor Quang Trung at the Quang Trung Temple attracted many visitors and learners.

In addition, the cooperation with Dien Quan Media & Entertainment Company to implement the program "Discover Nghe An with Robert Danhi" to promote special culinary dishes: eel porridge (Vinh City), Nam Nghia tamarind (Nam Dan), flashing squid (Cua Lo) has attracted a significant increase in the number of visitors to the three localities compared to last year.

Emperor Quang Trung Temple is a spiritual tourist destination that attracts tourists.

Successfully organized cultural and tourism events such as Cua Lo Tourism Festival, Lang Sen Festival, Nghe Tinh Vi Giam Folk Song Festival... North Central Provinces' Culinary and Tourism Culture Festival in 2014 with the participation of units and businesses from the Northeast region of Thailand, Laos, neighboring provinces, and localities in the province.

The comments at the conference also pointed out shortcomings that need to be further overcome, such as: Lack of high-quality entertainment; No introduction and promotion points for tourists who want to listen to and watch Vi and Giam folk songs. Nam Dan district does not have accommodation facilities and restaurants that meet the standards to serve tourists...

In the coming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and localities agreed to continue exploiting the connecting route between the three localities, on the basis of improving the quality of destinations and tourism culture.
