Improving the quality of wood products exported to the US
In recent years, Song Hieu Agricultural and Forestry Products Processing Enterprise (under Song Hieu Agricultural and Forestry Company Limited) has invested in modern machinery and technology, improving the quality of wood products exported to the US - a "difficult" market.

In recent times, Song Hieu Agricultural and Forestry Processing Enterprise (Thai Hoa town) has encountered many difficulties. There were times when wood products were difficult to sell, and there was a lot of inventory due to export restrictions from other countries, forcing the factory to operate at a standstill. However, with great efforts, the unit has gradually overcome the difficulties.
Mr. Ho Duc Dan - Director of Song Hieu Agricultural and Forestry Processing Enterprise said: Facing difficulties and challenges, the unit has proactively sought ways to adapt, diversify markets, and find orders to stabilize revenue. The unit invested tens of billions of dong in innovation of technology, machinery and equipment; put into operation a steam drying system to replace the heat drying oven.

At the same time, investing in technology innovation from manual to semi-automatic woodworking production lines, creating quality products that meet export standards. Thanks to investing in modern technology, the unit has improved its competitiveness, optimized the production process, minimized technical errors and increased efficiency, as well as saved production costs to reduce product prices.
Up to now, the unit produces and consumes over 150m per month.3Laminated wood, over 50,000 tons of wood chips. Wood products under the brand name “Song Hieu Forestry” are very popular in foreign markets, especially the US market. Enterprises have actively cooperated with foreign customers to produce new designs with their own brands to capture the target market.

The advantage of the unit is that it can proactively source raw acacia wood for processing. Currently, the unit has over 1,700 hectares of large timber plantations, annually exploiting 200 hectares that meet standards. The enterprise has also invested tens of billions of dong in maintenance and built over 250km of raw material roads to facilitate the planting, care and exploitation process.
The advantage of large timber plantations is that they produce good wood products, with productivity and revenue twice as high as that of raw material plantations. Large timber forests are used for multiple purposes, from sawn timber, laminated timber, to branches and tops used for chipping.

Thanks to its effective operations, since the beginning of 2024, all wood processing products of Song Hieu Agricultural and Forestry Processing Enterprise have been exported. The unit has created jobs for over 60 workers with stable income.

Up to now, the unit continues to develop large-scale timber forest resources in a sustainable manner, improve human resource quality and comply with international standards to find ways to export wood products to other demanding markets.
