Ms. Lao Thi Hai - Head of Thai Minh Brocade Weaving Village excitedly said: Previously, the village had nearly 65 families doing the job, but because some young women went to work for garment companies in the district, the number of households maintaining the job has decreased to 27.

These are women who are passionate about their profession and maintain it well, producing beautiful products every day. Brocade weaving is mainly done by women in their spare time and at night, so families who maintain the profession still do normal agricultural production. For women who are good at it and hard-working, this is considered a "side job but main income".

The brocade weaving products here are mainly consumed at local markets. Due to the increasing skill of the women, the products are always beautiful, with sophisticated patterns, meeting customer requirements, so they are sold out as soon as they are made.

Ms. Vi Thi Dinh, a member of the craft village, said that her family has a loom, and in her free time, she sits down and spins the loom for a few hours a day to earn some income. However, due to the increasingly high aesthetic demands of customers, members always have to learn and improve their skills.

"Here, agriculture is mainly done on forest land, so there is a lot of free time, so maintaining the brocade weaving profession is suitable for women to have a job and increase family income. We just need to make products according to requirements, the village chief will take care of the output, so we can rest assured," Ms. Vi Thi Dinh shared.

Mr. Truong Cong Thach - Chairman of Tien Ky Commune People's Committee said: Thai Minh brocade craft village was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a craft village in early 2016. Brocade products are produced by local people more and more and serve tourism.
