(Baonghean) - Setting an example is one of the important leadership methods specified by our Party in many regulations, most recently Regulation No. 08-QDi/TW dated October 25, 2018. Therefore, in recent times, Party committees at all levels in the province have focused on implementing many convincing ways of setting an example, setting an example associated with assigned roles, responsibilities and tasks.
Thanh Lien commune is a poor commune of Thanh Chuong district. After many struggles and actions, Thanh Lien has made remarkable progress; currently striving to build a commune that meets the model new rural standards by 2024.
In Thanh Lien, the requirement for cadres and party members is not only to think correctly, speak correctly through proposing, advising, and putting forward correct and accurate policies, but also to be people of action. Therefore, when proposing a policy, from crop conversion to land consolidation, cadres and party members, first of all, leaders, must act first so that when cadres speak, people listen and follow.

In addition to setting an example in production, to win the hearts of the people, according to comrade Phan Ba Ngoc - Party Secretary and Chairman of Thanh Lien Commune People's Committee, each cadre, party member, civil servant and worker must speak and act in parallel. Especially for leaders, what has been said and promised to the people must be done; in handling people's affairs as well as social conflicts, there must be reason and emotion, and especially all people are equal in implementing local regulations and rules, without exception.
For Ky Son district, setting an example is associated with performing assigned duties and tasks. District leaders, heads of departments, offices, agencies, and units at the district and grassroots levels always closely follow the programs, resolutions, and projects issued to give specific and close instructions, and fight against conservatism, stagnation, waiting, and dependence. Thanks to that, Ky Son has created many bright spots in economic development with many effective models such as ginger, turmeric, taro, squash, plum, passion fruit, medicinal herbs, and grass planting to raise cows, black chickens, black pigs, etc.; associated with forestry economic development with indigenous crops such as sa mu, po mu, xoan dau, etc.

The work of hunger eradication and poverty reduction in Ky Son has spread exemplary behavior among cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees from the district to the grassroots level.
The work of hunger eradication and poverty reduction through Directive 17 of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee on cadres, party members, and party organizations helping poor households has also spread the exemplary spirit among cadres, party members, civil servants, and public employees from the district to the grassroots. And the 3 comrades in the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee were the first to deduct their salaries to buy cows for poor households, each comrade in 2018 and 2019 donated 2 cows along with funds to build livestock barns for 2 poor households in the area.
Regarding Nghi Loc district, according to comrade Nguyen Ba Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, implementing the regulations on setting examples of the Central and Provincial Party Committees, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has concretized 10 exemplary acts of comrades of the Standing Committee, Executive Committee members and key leaders of the district and grassroots.
It is important to set an example of "practicing what you preach". What you say must be true to your viewpoints, principles, and policies, truthful, and highly constructive. When doing, you must research deeply and grasp the principles and policies of all levels to implement them correctly, accurately, and effectively.

Set an example of a scientific, concrete and people-oriented working style; take the lead in difficult tasks, do not avoid but proactively advise and direct the resolution of difficulties and problems at the grassroots level and people's concerns in accordance with their nature and authority, avoiding abuse of power or "encroachment".
Many difficult and urgent issues related to site clearance for WHA projects, the North-South Expressway, the road connecting Vinh and Cua Lo; backlog of petitions; issuance and reissuance of land use right certificates...; when key leaders from the district to the grassroots proactively and responsibly intervened, they were all resolved effectively.
Comrade Ho Phuc Hop - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee affirmed: Setting an example is one of the important leadership methods of our Party, specified in many regulations. At each level, the regulations on setting an example have been deployed and specified, becoming a reference system for cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers, especially leaders at all levels to promote their role and responsibility to set an example in performing assigned duties and tasks; taking work efficiency and people's satisfaction as a measure to evaluate the pioneering and exemplary spirit of cadres and party members.
From there, the leadership, direction and management capacity of the team of leaders and managers at all levels and the sense of responsibility for the work of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers are raised, positively affecting the implementation of political tasks at each level, each sector and unit.
