Russia researches new type of weapon for defense

The article notes that the United States is gradually losing its leading position in the world. Therefore, the aggressive nature of its political and military approach towards Russia is increasing, because Russia is considered the main culprit for the United States losing its dominant role in the world. At the same time, the authors point out that the United States is clearly planning to defeat Russia in the form of "Multi-domain (global) strategic operations".

According to the concept of this operation, the article explains, the Pentagon plans to defeat at least 65-70% of Russia's strategic nuclear forces through a global strike with conventional weapons, neutralize Russia's remaining and deployed nuclear weapons delivery vehicles with a global missile defense system, and then carry out a minimal nuclear strike sufficient to destroy Russia.

"The main means and tools for countering the Pentagon's attempts to implement the aggressive plans of the Russian Federation to destroy the Russian Federation through the above-mentioned multi-sectoral strategic operation, which is considered and actively studied by domestic military experts, is a future form of strategic activity of the Russian Armed Forces: strategic deterrence," the article says. As military scientists note, to achieve the most decisive strategic goals of defeating US aggression, this type of military operation "suggests the use of modern strategic offensive and defensive weapons, nuclear and non-nuclear, applying the latest military technologies."

Specifically, among the goals of Russia's strategic deterrence, the magazine "Military Thought" lists a response to a global blitzkrieg with conventional weapons by the United States and NATO to avoid major losses to Russia's strategic strike forces. In addition, in this type of operation, the US global missile defense system must be suppressed to eliminate the possibility of destroying Russian strategic missiles in the air. The final stage of the operation involves inflicting unbearable damage on the aggressor with the help of the remaining nuclear potential.

The article emphasizes that it is possible to prevent the initiation of aggressive actions by the United States by convincingly demonstrating to the enemy that Russia can ensure the implementation of the deterrence criteria at least during one stage of the space cycle of NATO's global multi-domain strategic activities.

That means Russia needs a system of tools that convincingly demonstrate to the US military-political leadership that a strike by the strategic missile forces cannot cause too serious damage in a global attack, that the US missile defense system is not capable of completely eliminating a nuclear retaliation against them, and that the US will certainly suffer damage that they cannot afford./.
