Russia claims to have shot down Ukrainian UAV and HIMARS missile
Fifteen Ukrainian UAVs, six HIMARS missiles and one HARM anti-radar missile were shot down by Russian air defense systems, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on October 23.
“Today, air defense systems shot down 15 Ukrainian UAVs near Staritsa, Ishchenka, Borozenskoye and Tokarevka in Kherson, Lyubimovka in Zaporozhye, Yegorovka, Staromayorskoye and Blagoveshchenka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Verkhnyaya Duvanka, Kuzemovka and Oborotnovka in the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR). In addition, 6 HIMARS missiles and 1 HARM anti-radar missile were intercepted near Kakhovka in Kherson and Svatovo in the LPR,” Igor Konashenkov said.

The Russian Defense Ministry spokesman also said that the country's military had repelled Ukrainian attacks in the Kherson region.
"The enemy's reinforced motorized infantry battalions attempted to attack our positions in Bruskinskoye, Pyatikhatka, Koshara, Sukhanovo, Ishchenka in the Kherson region. The Russian army repelled all these attacks. The enemy was pushed back to its original positions," Igor Konashenkov said, adding that more than 90 Ukrainian soldiers were killed and wounded, and three tanks and eight armored vehicles were destroyed.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, about 325 Ukrainian combat aircraft, 162 helicopters, 2,323 UAVs, 383 air defense systems, 5,997 tanks and armored vehicles, 874 multiple rocket launchers, 3,517 artillery and mortar systems, and 6,720 military vehicles have been destroyed since Russia launched its military operation in late February.
Ukraine has not yet commented on this.
