Russia and France could create new security architecture for Europe
(Baonghean.vn) - The Chairman of the Defense and International Affairs Committee of the French Senate believes that Russia and France can establish a new security structure for Europe, completely different from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

"I really believe in this. This cooperation opportunity is mentioned in our report. Moreover, it was proposed by French President Emmanuel Macron as a top priority topic at the summit in Bregancon" - Christian Cambon, Chairman of the Defense and International Affairs Committee of the French Senate, said about the possibility of creating a new structure between Russia and France, when answering in an interview published in the Kommersant newspaper (Russia) on September 29.

Besides, both Russia and France are permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, members of the "Normandy Quartet", the mechanism considered the most effective to date in resolving the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
