(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 20, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense jointly held an online conference to implement Decree No. 77/2010/ND-CP of the Government.

In Hanoi, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense, Lieutenant General Nguyen Danh Cong, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security, reported: In the first 6 months of 2016, the Public Security and Military forces at all levels have proactively advised Party committees and authorities to effectively implement the tasks of ensuring national security, maintaining social order and safety, and national defense. The two forces have regularly coordinated and exchanged information, correctly assessed the plots and tricks of hostile and reactionary forces; and mobilized people to properly implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.

In the Northwest and surrounding areas, authorities have disciplined and educated more than 100 people involved in propaganda activities aimed at establishing a "Mong State", and coordinated to prevent activities that entice illegal emigration to Laos to participate in illegal activities...

In the Central Highlands, dozens of mass mobilization campaigns have been organized to mobilize people to participate in the movement to protect national security with over 15,000 participants.

Provide education, deterrence, and public criticism to over 200 subjects related to FULRO, “Dega Protestantism,” and “Ha Mon” cult activities; coordinate to effectively implement the Law on Anti-Terrorism; the Prime Minister’s directive on strengthening anti-terrorism in the new situation; supplement and adjust plans to prevent and combat protests, disturbances, and riots; block 2,752 websites and blogs from posting bad content, inciting protests, and disturbing public order and safety, contributing to neutralizing propaganda activities to sabotage ideology, incite protests, and riots on cyberspace by hostile, reactionary, and opposing forces; coordinate to protect national sovereignty and public order and safety in border areas, seas, and islands; combat activities to entice ethnic minorities in the Northwest, Central Highlands, and Southwest to illegally cross the border.

In Nghe An, closely following the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, the provincial Party Committee and government, the Public Security, Army and Border Guard forces have coordinated to focus on directing and grasping the situation to effectively resolve emerging issues regarding security and order and national defense work, preventing sudden and unexpected incidents from occurring.

The implementation of Decree 77/2010/ND-CP has had positive changes, increasingly going into depth and quality, contributing to ensuring security and safety for major political and social events taking place in the area, especially the 12th National Congress of the Party, the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term, creating a sustainable environment for economic and social development in the province.

Concluding the conference, on behalf of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense, Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding results in the coordination work to ensure national security.

In the first 6 months of 2016, under the leadership of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Central Military Commission, the coordination of ministries, departments, branches, local Party committees, authorities, police forces, and the Army at all levels, Decree No. 77/CP of the Government has been thoroughly grasped and seriously and effectively implemented, focusing on improving security and order, especially the prevention and combat of all types of crimes such as organized crime, transnational crime, and human trafficking.

To continue to effectively carry out the task of ensuring national security, this conference proposed 9 key strategic and practical contents. Accordingly, the two forces of the Public Security and the Army continued to coordinate to implement and successfully complete the assigned political tasks.
