Nghe An Bank gives Tet gifts to the poor

(Baonghean.vn) - On January 29, a working delegation of Nghe An Banking sector led by Mr. Cao Van Hoi - Deputy Director of the State Bank of Nghe An organized a program to give Tet gifts to the poor in Thanh Ngan, Don Phuc, Chau Khe, Lang Khe communes of Con Cuong district.

Responding to the Letter calling for support and help for the poor to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2016 by comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, the State Bank of Nghe An has sent an official dispatch to all banks and bank branches operating in the province.

To date, the total amount of money mobilized by the industry is 3.69 billion VND, including 2.69 billion VND in cash and 1 billion VND in kind.

To personally deliver meaningful Tet gifts to poor households in Thanh Ngan commune, banking officials had to carry each box of goods and walk 2 km to reach the commune center.

With the money and goods mobilized, the State Bank of Nghe An province coordinated with commercial banks in the area to organize the awarding of 1,400 Tet gifts to support the poor in 14 communes of 4 districts in the province, each commune received 100 gifts worth 500,000 VND. Of which, 200,000 VND was awarded in kind including essential items for Tet such as MSG, soup, milk... and 300,000 VND in cash.

Speaking at the New Year's greetings to poor households in Con Cuong district, Mr. Cao Van Hoi said that social security work is both the heart and responsibility of the officers and employees of the Banking sector towards poor households in the province, sharing some of the difficulties of the poor during each New Year and spring.

Mr. Cao Van Hoi hopes that people will try to work hard to quickly escape poverty, have a warm and happy Tet holiday and commit that the provincial banking sector will always accompany poor households in terms of capital for economic development.

Mr. Cao Van Hoi gave Tet gifts worth 500,000 VND to poor households in Thanh Ngan commune.

Receiving practical and timely gifts, poor households in Thanh Ngan commune were all happy.

Ms. Luong Thi Dai in Don Phuc commune and poor households happily went to the commune hall to receive Tet gifts from the banking sector.
