Nghe An Education Department proposes to support 50% of tuition fees for students

The Department of Education and Training has just sent a document to the Provincial People's Committee requesting tuition support for the first semester of the 2021-2022 school year. Accordingly, the proposed level is 50% support.tuitionSemester I of the 2021-2022 school year for preschool children and high school students at public and non-public educational institutions in the province according to the public tuition fees currently applied in the province.
Previously, according to calculations by the Department of Education and Training, in the 2021-2022 school year, the total tuition fees collected in the province according to regulations are expected to be 335.856 billion VND. Of which, the tuition fees for the first semester (4 months) are 149.269 billion VND (including compensation for tuition exemption and reduction for subjects according to regulations in Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP dated August 27, 2021 of the Government is 14.172 billion VND; Tuition fees collected from parents and students: 135.097 billion VND).
The first semester tuition fee will be deducted 40% to implement salary reform according to regulations: 56,942 billion VND and the tuition fee left to spend on activities in educational institutions is: 92,327 billion VND.

With the above revenue, the proposed support amount is expected to be 67,548 billion VND (excluding exempted and reduced tuition fees for subjects according to the provisions of Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP dated August 27, 2021 of the Government.
The implementation is applied according to Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP dated August 27, 2021 of the Government on the mechanism for collecting and managing tuition fees for educational institutions in the national education system and policies on tuition exemption and reduction, support for learning costs; service prices in the field of education and training and some other relevant documents of the province.
Currently, many localities across the country have also exempted or reduced tuition fees for students this school year, such as Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Binh Duong, Da Nang... with support levels from 50-100%.
In Nghe An, the Covid-19 epidemic is currently complicated and has severely affected many aspects of the province's socio-economic life, including the Education and Training sector. Currently, thousands of students and teachers in the province are practicing social distancing according to Directive 15, Directive 16, Directive 19 of the Prime Minister right from the beginning of the new school year 2021-2022. In addition, the province also has hundreds of teachers and students who have been and are being quarantined in centralized quarantine facilities, field hospitals, and families.
