Nghe An Banking Industry gives Tet gifts to the poor in Quy Hop

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 27, the working delegation of Nghe An Bank led by Ms. Hoang Thi Minh Thu - Deputy Director, Chairman of the Trade UnionNghe An State Bank took the lead in organizing the Tet gift giving program for the poor in Van Loi commune (Quy Hop).

Responding to the Letter calling for support and assistance for the poor to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2016 by comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, the State Bank of Nghe An has sent an official dispatch to all banks and bank branches operating in the province. Up to now, the total amount of money mobilized by the industry is 3.69 billion VND, of which 2.69 billion VND in cash and 1 billion VND in kind.

On this occasion, the State Bank of Nghe An province coordinated with commercial banks in the area to organize the awarding of 1,400 Tet gifts to support the poor in 14 communes in 4 districts in the province, each commune received 100 gifts worth 500,000 VND. Of which, 200,000 VND were given in kind including essential items for Tet such as MSG, soup, milk, candy... and 300,000 VND in cash.

Ms. Hoang Thi Minh Thu gave gifts of encouragement and shared with poor households in Van Loi commune (Quy Hop) and wished them a warm and peaceful Tet holiday.

Van Loi commune is a purely agricultural commune in Quy Hop district, nearly 13 km from Quy Hop town center. Currently, the commune has 957 households with 4,230 people, is the living area of ​​Tho ethnic group (accounting for 51%) and Kinh ethnic group (accounting for 49%). The economy mainly relies on agricultural production, difficult roads so Van Loi is still a poor commune of Quy Hop district (the whole commune has 348 poor households, accounting for nearly 36%).
