The Cultural Sector needs to focus on planning cultural and historical relics.

On the afternoon of January 21, the Department of Culture and Sports held a conference to deploy cultural and sports work in 2019.Attending the conference were comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

According to the report at the conference, in the past year, the State management work in the fields under the sector's responsibility continued to receive attention. The preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values ​​continued to receive attention. The Department submitted to the Prime Minister the Project to protect and promote the value of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs until 2030; the Master plan for the special national relic of Kim Lien relic site;

Advise the Provincial People's Committee to approve the project to improve the effectiveness of research, collection, inventory, preservation and display of artifacts of Nghe An Museum in the period of 2019 - 2025. The Department has submitted to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to include 04 festivals in the list of national intangible cultural heritage, of which 02 festivals have been recognized.

The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" continues to be promoted and improved in quality, associated with the implementation of the new rural construction program.

The sports sector continues to achieve encouraging results. In 2018, the draft "Regulations on preferential treatment for coaches and athletes of Nghe An province who have achieved high achievements in sports competitions" was developed. The role of state management for Song Lam Football Joint Stock Company has been well performed, promoting clear effectiveness in youth football training.

Last year, Nghe An participated in 14 sports at the 8th National Sports Festival in 2018, winning 08 gold medals, 09 silver medals, 21 bronze medals, ranking 19/65 provinces and sectors nationwide; was 1/25 of the top units in terms of competition achievements to be awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The conference also pointed out the problems that cannot be completely resolved: The system of facilities and technical equipment serving cultural and sports activities is still lacking and outdated. Some localities have not properly implemented regulations on management and promotion of relics, and have implemented the restoration and renovation of relics in violation of procedures.

The movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” in some localities has not really received attention and direction from the Party Committee and the government. The recognition of the title is not substantial, and the title has not been promoted after being recognized.

Family work still has many complicated problems, there are still cases of domestic violence, sexual abuse of minors, child marriage, etc.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that the Department of Culture focus on planning cultural and historical relics associated with tourism development. "This is the foundation for us to attract investors to increase budget revenue but also to preserve and promote heritage values" - the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized.

In addition, the industry needs to strengthen the promotion of intangible cultural heritage of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs; accelerate administrative reform associated with implementing democratic regulations; improve the quality of the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life; continue to improve the quality of high-performance sports...
