(Baonghean.vn)- The 2016 Admissions and Career Counseling Program will take place on February 27 at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Vinh City, Nghe An.

This program is chaired by Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Ministry of Education and Training, in coordination with Nghe An Department of Education and Training, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.

The Admissions and Career Counseling Program is where 12th grade students, parents, and teachers can discuss questions about the 2016 National High School Exam and University and College Admissions, directly ask questions, and receive full and accurate advice from the Program's Advisory Board.

More than 5,000 Nghe An students attended the 2015 admission and career counseling program.

The advisory board consists of 17 members representing the leaders of the Department of Testing and Education Quality Assessment, the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training), representatives of major universities such as Hanoi National University and its member universities, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Foreign Trade University, National Economics University, Vietnam Maritime University, Vinh University, representatives of the Public Security and Military schools, etc.

The Admissions and Career Counseling Program consists of three parts: General Counseling – representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training provide the latest information on the national high school exam and university and college admissions in 2016. In-depth counseling for each of three groups of majors: Group of majors: Science and Technology - Natural Sciences - Medicine - Agriculture and Forestry; Group of majors: Economics - Finance - Banking - Diplomacy - Foreign Languages; Group of majors: Social Sciences - Humanities - Pedagogy - Journalism - Police - Military - Vocational Colleges - Vocational Schools. Finally, students and parents can meet and talk directly with teachers of the Counseling Board.

This is the 14th consecutive year that Tuoi Tre Newspaper, together with the Ministry of Education and Training, Departments of Education and Training, Provincial and Municipal Youth Unions, and Universities nationwide, with the support of Vingroup, has organized a series of admissions and career counseling programs to help students access and understand the regulations on the National High School Exam and University and College Admissions, training majors, and the necessary knowledge to prepare for choosing a registered major, best prepare for the University and College Admissions, as well as advise students on choosing their path in life. This is a non-profit program, originating from the hearts and concerns of Tuoi Tre Newspaper employees for the younger generations, for the cause of "cultivating people for the benefit of a hundred years of human development" of the country.

In Nghe An, this is the third year the program has been organized. In 2015, the program attracted about 5,000 12th grade students in Vinh City and neighboring districts to participate.

This year, there are 17 programs and three Admissions and Career Counseling Days taking place nationwide, from Kien Giang, Tien Giang, Dong Thap, Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Thuan, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Da Nang, Hue, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong and Hanoi.
