Nghe An - Bac Kan strengthen exchanges, support and develop together

(Baonghean.vn) – Nghe An and Bac Kan provinces will increase exchanges and support each other for mutual development. That was the spirit that Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh and Nguyen Van Du discussed at the meeting between leaders of the two provinces on the afternoon of July 8.

At the meeting, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation informed the Bac Kan provincial delegation about some socio-economic situations of Nghe An province.

Notably, focusing on leadership and direction to attract investment for industrial development; promoting tourism development; striving to achieve a growth rate of 8% in 2017 and ensuring balance between revenue and expenditure; and implementing sustainable poverty reduction.

Party building work has been taken care of; innovation and creativity have been achieved in implementing and bringing Party Resolutions at all levels into life; creating many positive changes in society.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh also emphasized: The Standing Committee and the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee are always aware of building a high level of solidarity and collaboration for the common goal, building Nghe An into a fairly good province among the Northern provinces as well as handling issues arising in the development process.

Expressing his gratitude for the welcome from the leaders of Nghe An province, Secretary of the Bac Kan Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Du also shared his joy at the development of Nghe An province.

The Secretary of the Bac Kan Provincial Party Committee also said: Bac Kan Province has a population of over 86% ethnic minorities. The land is mainly forests, rocky mountains, steep and fragmented terrain; therefore, the economic orientation of the province is to focus on forestry development.

In fact, the province's economy has also developed, with an average income per capita in 2016 reaching 26.6 million VND; the poverty rate has decreased to 26.5%.

Also at the meeting, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Nghe An and Bac Kan provinces also said that in the coming time, the two provinces will increase exchanges, support, and share experiences in Party building work; economic development, focusing on some advantageous economic models of each province, in order to exploit and enhance the value and efficiency of forestry land use; so that the two provinces of Nghe An - Uncle Ho's hometown and Bac Kan - the place chosen by Uncle Ho as the base for revolutionary activities during the years of resistance war to save the country can develop together.
