At 3:00 p.m. this afternoon (July 19), the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense issued Official Dispatch No. 04/CD-BCH to relevant localities and units, directing measures to respond to the tropical depression.

According to the bulletin of the North Central Hydrometeorological Station, at 1:00 p.m. on July 19, the center of the tropical depression was at about 14.3 degrees North latitude; 117.5 degrees East longitude, in the eastern sea of ​​the central East Sea. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was level 6 (39-49 km/h), gusting to level 8; moving northwest at a speed of 5-10 km/h.

To proactively respond to the developments of the tropical depression, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense requests the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of districts, towns and Vinh city; relevant departments, branches and sectors to implement the following contents:

For sea routes and coastal areas:Closely monitor the development of tropical depressions; strictly manage vessels at sea; organize counting and notify owners of vessels and captains of ships and boats operating at sea of ​​the location, direction of movement and development of tropical depressions so that they can proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas.

Danger zones in the next 24 hours:From latitude 13.0 to 17.0; from longitude 115.0 to 119.0 (danger zone is adjusted in forecast bulletins).

For on land:Must review and be ready to drain floodwaters to protect agricultural production, low-lying areas, urban areas and industrial zones.

At the same time, be ready to deploy plans to evacuate people in areas at high risk of flash floods and landslides; Check, review, and proactively take measures to ensure the safety of reservoirs and downstream areas, especially small and vulnerable reservoirs. In particular, be ready with forces and means for rescue when required.

The North Central Region Hydrometeorological Station closely monitors, forecasts, warns, and promptly informs about the development of tropical depressions to proactively deploy response measures.

Departments, branches and sectors, according to their assigned functions and tasks, direct measures to be ready to respond when bad situations occur.

Provincial Radio and Television Station, Nghe An Newspaper, Ben Thuy Coastal Information Station and mass media increase information and communication about the development of tropical depression to authorities at all levels, owners of vessels operating at sea and people to proactively prevent and respond.

Organize on-duty seriously and regularly report to the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense.
