Nghe An issues official dispatch to respond to strong winds and big waves at sea
The Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Nghe An province has just issued Official Dispatch No. 228/VP-VPTT on proactively responding to strong winds, big waves and thunderstorms at sea.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the night of September 29-30, the East of the North East Sea from longitude 117 to 120 degrees East will have strong winds of level 6-7, gusting to level 9, especially the East of longitude 118.5 will have strong winds of level 8-10, gusting to level 12, waves 4.0-6.0m high; the East of the North East Sea will have showers and strong thunderstorms, with the possibility of tornadoes during thunderstorms.

To proactively respond to strong winds, big waves and thunderstorms at sea, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense requests the Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue of coastal districts and towns and related departments, branches and units to implement a number of contents:
1.Closely monitor warning bulletins, forecasts and developments of strong winds, big waves and thunderstorms at sea in the coming days; promptly notify captains and owners of vehicles and vessels operating at sea to proactively avoid entering the above-mentioned dangerous areas and have appropriate production plans to ensure safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle any bad situations that may occur.
2. Prepare forces and means to deploy rescue work when there is a situation.
3.Organize on-duty seriously, regularly report to the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense.
Propose the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue of coastal districts and towns and related departments, branches and units to organize implementation.
