Nghe An: Arrested case of illegal mining of more than 300 thousand cubic meters of minerals
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 13, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province Police simultaneously searched 5 locations related to the illegal mineral exploitation case in Nghi Loc District, Nghe An Province.
Previously, at about 8:30 a.m. on April 7, 2023, Nghe An Provincial Police inspected the land exploitation activities at the Pineapple Mountain mine area (in Nghi Hung commune, Nghi Loc district) of Dong Nam Company Limited.

At the scene, Nghe An Provincial Police discovered 4 vehicles (including 2 crawler excavators and 2 trucks) showing signs of mining and transporting soil minerals outside the licensed boundary.

The inspection team requested to stop all activities and make initial records and temporarily detain 4 vehicles according to regulations.
According to the Mineral Exploitation License granted to Dong Nam Company Limited, up to now, Dong Nam Company Limited has exploited more than the permitted reserve of more than 300 thousand m.3minerals (soil).
Currently, the case is under further investigation and clarification.
