Nghe An elects 2 additional members to the Provincial People's Committee for the 2016 - 2021 term

On the morning of March 18, within the framework of the 13th session (extraordinary session), the 17th Provincial People's Council elected two additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee;Nguyen Duc Trung -Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee,Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee;Nguyen Van Thong -Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee;comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial Fatherland Front Standing Committee and representatives of the provincial departments, branches and sectors.

At the meeting, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee read the report introducing the personnel for the election of additional members of the Provincial People's Committee, term 2016 - 2021 for Mr. Nguyen Van De - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang - Director of the Department of Construction.

Based on the submission of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Council conducted a by-election and voted to approve the draft Resolution confirming the results of the election of additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term for Mr. Nguyen Van De - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang - Director of the Department of Construction.

Mr. Nguyen Van De, currently a member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Decision No. 4889/QD-UBND dated December 2, 2019 of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman. When elected to the position of Member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term, Mr. Nguyen Van De was assigned to be in charge of the field of agriculture and rural development.

Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Construction in Decision No. 18/QD-UBND dated January 2, 2020 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. When elected to the position of Member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2016 - 2021 term, Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang was assigned to be in charge of the construction sector.
