Nghe An honors 198 exemplary disabled people, orphans and sponsors
(Baonghean.vn) - The activity aims to praise and encourage the will to rise of people with disabilities and orphans, honor the kindness and tolerance of those who do sponsorship work, and the noble gestures of units, organizations and individuals who always accompany the disadvantaged in society.
On the morning of July 5, the Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans held the first meeting to honor exemplary people with disabilities, orphans and sponsors in 2019.
Attending the ceremony were comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of a number of provincial departments, branches, 21 districts, cities and nearly 200 people with disabilities, orphans and outstanding sponsors in the province.

Over the years, the Provincial Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Orphans has made efforts to connect love, share, and help the disabled and orphans to improve their lives.
In 8 years, the Association has called on organizations, individuals and philanthropists to raise over 112 billion VND, supporting 300,000 disabled people and orphans to receive bicycles, wheelchairs, vocational training, job creation and house construction and repair; supporting capital for livestock production and services associated with new rural construction for over 3,000 disabled people.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 4 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of protecting people with disabilities and orphans; 18 individuals with outstanding efforts in building their lives and integrating into the community, in studying and building their lives.
Also at the ceremony, 86 groups and individuals were awarded by the Provincial Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Orphans.
