Nghe An proactively and confidently conquers growth target by 2025
The new year 2025 has begun with a spirit of high determination, great efforts, and drastic actions to continue to maintain the recovery momentum, achieving the GRDP growth target of 9.5-10.5%. This is the final year of the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2020 - 2025, Nghe An is ready to accelerate, make a breakthrough, and create a foundation for the implementation of the 2025-2030 development plan of the 20th Provincial Party Congress term.
Looking back at 2024, with many difficulties domestically and internationally. Natural disasters, storms and floods caused great damage to production, business and people's lives, however, with determination to overcome difficulties, we have achieved and exceeded all 15 main targets of the year. GDP growth of over 7% compared to 2023 has put Vietnam in the group of countries with the highest growth in the region and the world. Many international organizations have also assessed optimistically about the growth prospects of Vietnam's economy in 2025.

Nghe An alone, in 2024, the GRDP growth rate will be over 9%, ranking 13th in the country. State budget revenue will be nearly 24,800 billion VND, an increase of 15.3% compared to 2023. The three traditional growth drivers of investment - consumption and export continue to be renewed. Total disbursed public investment capital reached over 95% of the plan. Works and projects, especially key projects in the province, were completed and put into use, such as the North-South expressway in the East (Dien Chau - National Highway 46B section), part of the 500kV line 3 project through the province, etc.
Investment attraction is a notable highlight of Nghe An in the past year, with a total newly granted and increased investment capital of nearly 61,500 billion VND. Of which,FDI capitalnearly 1.7 billion USD, the highest ever. This is the third consecutive year that Nghe An has ranked in the top 10 nationwide in attracting foreign investment capital. Efforts in digital transformation have improved management efficiency, creating favorable conditions for businesses and investors to develop production and business. Nghe An is one of the few provinces and cities in the country that is gathering 5 of the world's technology giants to invest together, including: Foxconn, Luxshare, Goertek, Everwin and Juteng. Enterprises have poured more than 1.3 billion USD into the province, expected to create more than 86,000 jobs.

Entering 2025 - a year of special significance when ending the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2020-2025, preparing the premise for the 5-year plan 2025-2030 of the 20th Provincial Party Congress term, together with the whole country entering a new era - the era of national development. The general goal of Nghe An is to accelerate and make a breakthrough in implementing the socio-economic development goals in 2025 at the highest level to achieve a GRDP growth rate of about 9.5-10.5%, an average income per capita of 71-72 million VND; export turnover of 4.5 billion USD.
To achieve and exceed the main targets of the 2025 plan, the province has set out 10 main groups of tasks and solutions. Focus on synchronously and drastically implementing the disbursement of public investment capital and 3 National Target Programs in the province from the beginning of the year. Strengthen effective management of budget revenue and expenditure. Mobilize all resources to implement key projects of the province, focusing on completing procedures to deploy identified key projects such as: Cua Lo deep-water port, Vinh international airport,Quynh Lap LNG project.

In attracting investment, proactively promote and prioritize FDI attraction into projects with high technology content, green and sustainable growth; promote administrative procedure reform, carry out digital transformation, improve the investment and business environment, and create favorable conditions for people and businesses to develop.
Along with the whole country, Nghe An seriously and effectively implemented the direction of the Central Committee and General Secretary To Lam on the work.prevent waste, especially unfinished works and projects that are at risk of budget loss, to find solutions to resolve problems, free up resources, and promote the effectiveness of works and projects. Promote the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus in conjunction with improving the quality of the staff, civil servants and public employees, and improving the quality of public services to serve the people and businesses.
Closing the old year with many outstanding marks, Nghe An confidently enters 2025 with greater expectations about the position of a province in the development pole of the North Central region, ready to join the whole country in entering a new era - an era of growth, development, wealth and prosperity.
