Nghe An: Second test results are available for all people in contact with 'patient 736'

On August 14, the Nghe An Province Center for Disease Control announced that 14 people who were F1 of "patient 736" had their second test results. All were negative for Covid-19.

Immediately after the second result, all F1 and F2 of this patient in Nghe An were given a certificate of completion of quarantine and returned to work as usual because the time of contact with the patient had exceeded 14 days.

Previously, on August 7, the Nghe An Center for Disease Control took samples from 132 people, including both F1 and F2 of the patient. The first test results showed that they were all negative for Covid-19. Because the first test result was negative, those in the F2 category did not need to take a second sample.

"Patient 736", 39 years old, residing in Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City, is the director of Tam Ky Toll Station. On July 24, he, the driver and 2 people from the agency went by private car to Vinh City, rented a room at Muong Thanh Phuong Dong Hotel, stayed until July 27, then returned to Quang Nam. During their stay in Nghe An, this group went to drink at Hoa Son Bon Quan Restaurant with 2 friends.

Immediately after the case was announced, Nghe An authorities identified 13 hotel employees who had close contact with the patient and 108 other employees as F2. At Hoa Son Bon Quan restaurant, there were 3 employees as F1 and 16 employees as F2. This restaurant also had to stop receiving guests and spray disinfectant. 132 people were tested that night.

Speaking to Nghe An Newspaper reporters, the patient said that on his first day in Vinh City, he had symptoms of the epidemic. Suspecting that he was infected, he only stayed in the hotel for the next 2 days. He then returned to his hometown in Da Nang and proactively went to the medical center for testing./.
