Nghe An diversifies forms of propaganda to prevent drowning

* Morning of May 25,Tan Huong Commune Youth Union Executive Committee (Tan Ky)has organized the installation of warning signs to prevent drowning in dangerous areas at 2 lakes near Tan Huong 1 Primary School and Tan Huong Kindergarten. Currently, the old warning signs at Lanh Nganh dam (02 signs), Ba Dong dam (01 sign), and Cay Da (01 sign) are also being repaired and renewed.

In addition, the Commune Youth Union issued Official Dispatch No. 03 - CV/DTN "On strengthening the prevention of drowning and injuries among adolescents", along with 1,500 leaflets to propagate to schools in the area, Youth Union members, parents and students.

Also this morning, TKy Tan Secondary School (Tan Ky)organized propaganda on drowning prevention for staff, teachers and 300 students in the whole school.

In particular, the students listened to and watched instructions on how to prevent drowning, and first aid measures for drowning victims. This was a very meaningful activity, aiming to equip students with knowledge on how to protect themselves during the current hot weather.

*May 25,Con Cuong Town Primary SchoolIn coordination with the District Youth Union, the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Team No. 6 organized an extracurricular program to propagate drowning prevention and injury prevention for nearly 750 students.

At the propaganda session, students were instructed in rescue and self-rescue skills in case of drowning. These included skills to handle situations of drowning themselves, skills to safely rescue drowning people to shore, first aid skills, and injury prevention for drowning people.

18 primary school teams organized direct propaganda extracurricular activities, 12 secondary school teams organized propaganda through radio programs. Thanks to that, it helped students to clearly understand the dangers of drowning, injuries, and have skills to handle drowning accidents.
