Nghe An trains international-level Colleges with programs transferred from Australia

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 12, Vietnam - Korea Technical College held a graduation ceremony for the international high-quality college class trained under the transfer program from Australia, with two occupations: refrigeration and air conditioning engineering and industrial electrical and control installation engineering.

Pursuant to Decision No. 371/QD-TTg dated February 28, 2013 and Decision No. 1820/QD-TTg dated October 26, 2015 of the Prime Minister; the General Department of Vocational Training - Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs organized a pilot training of 41 classes at 25 schools for 12 occupations that have transferred the program from Chisholm Institute of Australia, in which, Vietnam - Korea Technical College of Technology was assigned to enroll and train 2 occupations: refrigeration and air conditioning engineering and electrical installation and control engineering in industry; each occupation has 18 students.

The international high-quality college class is trained according to the program transferred from Australia for 3 years starting from October 2016, with a team of highly qualified lecturers, students have the opportunity to study according to an advanced model, receive in-depth training according to Chisholm Institute standards. The international high-quality education program requires strict entrance admission, and the output has an English certificate of the European B1 framework.

During the pilot period, the school has invested in facilities, equipment and supplies for training, hygiene, occupational health and safety (OHS), and teacher capacity to meet the quality requirements of Chisholm Institute standards. Students regularly work and exchange with lecturers and experts from Australia. This is an opportunity for students to improve their foreign language skills, acquire skills and knowledge to meet the requirements of the training program. As a result, graduates have many job opportunities both domestically and internationally.

To serve the learning process, the school has cooperated with a number of local businesses and neighboring provinces so that students can learn and experience, applying the knowledge they have learned.

After graduation, students will receive 2 degrees from the Vietnam - Korea Technical College and an Australian College Degree from Chisholm Institute; English certificate. At the end of the course, both classes had 14 students with excellent grades and 21 students with good grades.

Over the years, the Vietnam - Korea Vocational College has trained over 15,000 long-term vocational students, over 2,500 short-term vocational students, nearly 20,000 workers learning Korean and providing orientation education for over 10,000 export workers. Over 85% of graduates have jobs in industrial parks and export processing zones in and outside the country.

Every year, the school enrolls over 1,000 students (reaching a flow of 3,000 students). In the period of 2018 - 2023, the school aims to become a high-quality and international-standard vocational school; linking training with businesses, cooperating with many foreign schools to train advanced vocational skills; training in the application of 4.0 technology with the quality of greening sustainable vocational training.
