Nghe An invests more than 670 billion VND to upgrade and renovate the power grid

(Baonghean.vn) - In 2015, from various sources of capital, Nghe An invested more than 670 billion VND to upgrade and construct new projects. To date, most of the projects have been handed over and put into use, and some additional projects are continuing to be implemented.

On the morning of January 20, Nghe An Electricity Company held the 2016 Labor Delegation Conference and summarized the production and business activities in 2015, and deployed the tasks for 2016. Attending were Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Hoang Van Tam - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade.

In 2015, the commercial electricity output reached 1.918 billion kWh, an increase of 12.75% compared to 2014. The electricity price increased by 6.2 VND/kWh compared to the plan assigned by the corporation. The grid operation scheme has been optimized, transformer rotation to prevent underload and overload has been carried out regularly, contributing to reducing electricity loss and ensuring electricity quality. Electricity loss decreased by 0.02%, lower than in 2014 at 1.02%.

In 2015, Nghe An Electricity Company took over 32 communes with over 1,000 km of low-voltage power lines to sell electricity directly to nearly 90,000 households using single-phase electricity and 2,843 households using three-phase electricity. Thus, up to now, Nghe An Electricity has taken over 422 communes with 10,523 km of power lines, with an asset value of over 456 billion VND.

In 2015, from various sources of capital, Nghe An invested more than 670 billion VND to upgrade and construct new works that have been handed over and put into use. A number of additional projects are continuing to be implemented, including the Project Management Board and related departments reviewing and approving 206 projects with a total investment of 364.4 billion VND; the project to improve energy efficiency in rural areas of Nghe An province - the second surplus capital with a total investment of nearly 125 billion VND...

Implementing the project of supplying electricity to rural areas from the national grid, up to now, 10/16 communes of 3 districts of Tuong Duong, Ky Son and Quy Chau have been completed to connect electricity, expected to connect the remaining communes before Tet.

The operation of the power grid has been relatively good in the past time, ensuring continuous and stable power supply for the loads. Power supply on holidays and Tet and sudden output in the hot season has been ensured. The quality control of materials and equipment installed on the power grid has been well implemented, gradually perfecting the technical standards of materials and equipment installed on the power grid and applying new technology.

From a capital of 29 billion VND, in 2015, Dien Chau Electricity Branch invested in 7 transformer stations, medium voltage lines; 101km of low voltage lines.

Implementing the year of “labor safety culture and labor discipline”, Nghe An Power Company has implemented many solutions and measures to overcome safety risks, limit and prevent labor accidents due to subjective errors. It has built a site and applied theoretical tests on computers for upgrading exams to strictly control the level of workers, resolutely not upgrading the level of qualified construction workers, gradually improving the quality of the workforce. The work of equipping safety tools and production tools is focused.

In 2016, Nghe An Electricity plans to achieve 2,398 million kWh of commercial electricity, with a loss rate of less than 8.1%.

On this occasion, the conference launched the 2016 emulation movement and announced the reward decisions. Accordingly, the Director of Nghe An Electricity awarded certificates of merit to 5 collectives that had excellently completed all production and business targets; 5 units that had excellently implemented the year of labor safety and discipline culture; 7 units that had excellently implemented the work of corporate culture; 7 units that had excellently implemented the work of loss and 35 individuals were awarded certificates of merit for excellently implementing the work of loss in 2015.
