Nghe An: Night raid destroys 12 drug dens, arrests dozens of subjects
(Baonghean.vn) - On April 20, 2022, under the direct direction of Major General Pham The Tung - Director of the Provincial Police Department and Colonel Nguyen Duc Hai - Deputy Director, Head of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency, Nghe An Provincial Police simultaneously launched a campaign to destroy 12 complex drug dens in Que Phong district.
Accordingly, in the early morning of April 20, Nghe An Provincial Police mobilized functional units to approach and simultaneously attack 12 complex drug dens in the areas of Pa Khom, Tam Hop, Tri Le commune, Thanh Phong 2 village, Na Cong, Muong Noc commune and Kim Khe village, Chau Kim commune, Que Phong district.

The Drug Crime Investigation Department and Que Phong District Police co-chaired and coordinated with the Mobile Police Force, Nhon Mai Commune Police - Tuong Duong District and Tri Le Commune Border Guard Station to deploy fast, strong and effective combat plans, promptly detecting, arresting and controlling 12 subjects, seizing 19 packages of heroin, opium and opium resin along with 7 guns and swords of various types.
Previously, taking advantage of the population and terrain characteristics of the border area, drug criminals frequently traded, bought and sold drugs, and used them, causing public outrage. Successfully eliminating these locations will help stabilize security and order in the area, creating conditions for local economic and social development.

In the coming time, Nghe An Police will continue to step up the fight against all types of crimes, especially drug crimes in the area, "Blocking supply and reducing demand", detecting from afar, preventing early the source of smuggled drugs across the border; along with that, mobilizing the combined strength of the entire political system at all levels to join in the fight against, prevention and control of drugs. This is also the goal of the Project to build ""Border commune clean of drugs"of Nghe An Provincial Police with the determination to strive to build 27 "drug-free" border communes in 2022.
