Nghe An has 2,820 additional positions in the Education sector for the 2022-2023 school year.

Previously, on July 18, the Politburo issued Decision No. 72-QD/TW on the staffing of Party agencies, the Fatherland Front, political organizations at the Central level, provincial Party Committees, city Party Committees, and Party Committees of centrally-affiliated blocs for the 2022-2026 period.
In this decision, the Politburo assigned an additional 65,980 teacher positions in the period from 2022 to 2026, and in the 2022-2023 school year, an additional 27,850 positions for public preschool and general education teachers. In the allocated list, Nghe An was assigned 2,820 positions for the next school year. Of which, preschool level is 2,164 positions, primary school level is 498 positions, secondary school level is 142 positions and high school level is 16 positions.

Previously, in the list of 63 provinces and cities nationwide, Nghe An was one of the provinces with the most teacher shortages in the country. Specifically, according to the Department of Education and Training, Nghe An is currently lacking over 7,800 positions, of which the most shortage is at the preschool level with over 6,000 people, followed by primary, secondary and high school levels and staff.
Immediately after Decision No. 72-QD/TW, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son signed and issued Official Dispatch No. 35851/BGDĐT-NGCBQLGD to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to deploy the recruitment of preschool and general education teachers according to Decision No. 72-QD/TW.
In particular, it is recommended that the recruitment of teachers in localities must be strictly implemented in accordance with the provisions of law; priority should be given to recruiting teachers of new subjects to implement the 2018 General Education Program and priority should be given to recruiting preschool teachers for preschools in economically and socially disadvantaged and extremely disadvantaged areas.

In addition, it is necessary to focus on solutions to ensure the source of teacher recruitment such as: Widely disseminating information about recruitment, working with training institutions to have recruitment sources, exchanging with other localities to coordinate recruitment according to subjects that meet requirements... In the long term, localities need to have a roadmap for training human resources to serve the education sector to ensure a source of recruitment for the roadmap for additional staffing until 2026.
The Ministry of Education and Training also requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities to implement Conclusion No. 40-KL/TW dated July 18, 2022 of the Politburo on improving the effectiveness of payroll management of the political system for the 2022-2026 period, and Decision No. 71-QD/TW dated July 18, 2022 of the Politburo regulating payroll management of the political system.Continue to streamline the payroll in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee, thereby directing the arrangement and consolidation of schools in a reasonable manner, in accordance with the specific conditions of the locality, ensuring efficiency and creating favorable conditions for students to go to school; develop mechanisms and policies to encourage individuals and businesses to establish non-public educational institutions, participate in the socialization of education to reduce the number of people receiving salaries from the State budget and synchronize other solutions.
