Nghe An: Won 2 silver and bronze medals in the individual Kata event for men and women at secondary school level

(Baonghean.vn) – On the afternoon of August 4, the National Phu Dong Sports Festival Karatedo Tournament continued with the individual Kata events for men and women of junior high school age and individual Kumite for men of junior high school age in the 50 and 55 kg weight categories. The Nghe An delegation competed quite successfully, winning 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal.

Athlete Le Trung Son performed very well in the competition.

Athlete Le Trung Son, Nghe An Karatedo team competed excellently and won the silver medal in the male individual Kata category for junior high school age. Similarly, athlete Nguyen Thi Thu Thuong also competed quite well when she won the bronze medal in the female individual Kata category for junior high school age.

Le Trung Son has won another silver medal after the gold medal in the men's team kata event.

In the Kumite category, Nghe An athletes did not compete successfully. The gold medal in the 55kg individual Kumite category for men went to Ho Chi Minh City team, the silver medal went to Ninh Binh team, and the bronze medals went to Hai Duong and Vinh Phuc teams. The 50kg individual Kumite category for men has not yet reached the final and will continue tomorrow.

Similarly, athlete Nguyen Thi Thu Thuong also competed quite well.

Tomorrow morning (August 5), the National Phu Dong Sports Festival Karate Tournament continues with the following events: Men's individual Kumite in the 40, 45, and 40 kg weight classes; Women's individual Kumite in the 36, 40, and 44 kg weight classes.
