Nghe An won 6 prizes at the 2019 National Science and Technology Competition
(Baonghean.vn) - This year's competition in the Northern region had the participation of 34 localities and universities with 252 projects in 20 fields. Nghe An delegation ranked 6th overall.
This year, Nghe An has 9 projects participating in the National Science and Technology Competition for high school students in the Northern region. As a result, 6 projects won prizes, including 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize and 4 Fourth Prizes.
First Prize went to the project “Smart pillow to support sleep” by two students Nguyen Quy Hien and Tran Vuong Quoc Dat – students of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.

Second prize went to the project "Improving wheelchairs to supplement rehabilitation equipment" by two students Truong Van An and Phan Quynh Trang - students of Tra Lan Secondary School - Con Cuong.
There are 4 other projects that won the Fourth Prize, including: Project "Research on extraction of anthocyanin from purple sweet potato as a safe indicator to detect PH environment" by students Nguyen Le Mai Linh and Le Manh Trung - Ha Huy Tap High School;
Project "Reusing waste by-products as oil absorbing materials" by students Nguyen Viet Manh and Dinh Viet Ty - Do Luong 1 High School;

Project "Current situation and solutions to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Qua Son temple and Truong Bon historical relic for secondary school students in Do Luong district" by students Truong Thi Hong Van and Thai Thi Quynh Chi - Ly Nhat Quang Secondary School - Do Luong;
Project "Automatically rising dike due to Archimedes force, preventing flood water or high tides from entering" by students Tran Tien Dat and Dinh Van Hai Dang - Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.
With this result, Nghe An delegation ranked 6th out of 34 participating units. Nghe An also had a project that made it to the second round of selecting the national team to participate in the international science and technology competition. The results will be announced after the end of the southern region competition.
