Nghe An: More than 28,000 students enter the first exam of the 10th grade entrance exam

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 6, more than 28,000 candidates in Nghe An entered the first subject of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2017-2018 school year, Literature.

At the Thanh Chuong 1 High School Examination Council, the opening ceremony was solemnly held at exactly 6:30 am. This year, Thanh Chuong 1 High School had 462 candidates registered for the exam and was one of the schools with the largest number of candidates registered in Thanh Chuong district. At the opening ceremony, candidates were informed about the exam regulations and steps to note when taking the exam.

Across the province, the opening ceremony was also held simultaneously at 57 other examination councils with 1,213 examination rooms. To prepare for the 10th grade entrance exam, the Department of Education and Training mobilized 4,087 people to supervise and serve the exam. Of these, 2,793 officials and teachers worked as invigilators and nearly 600 people worked as security guards. Localities also mobilized police and militia forces to participate in protecting inside and outside the exam locations. In addition, the Department of Education and Training also organized 4 mobile inspection teams to inspect the exam work in the localities.

The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2017-2018 school year is scheduled to take place on June 6 and 7 with three subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language. Math and Literature will be taken in 120 minutes each and will have a score of 2, while Foreign Language will be taken in 60 minutes and will have a score of 1. In the morning, candidates will start taking the exam at 8:00 a.m. and in the afternoon, at 3:00 p.m. The first subject is Literature with an essay format.

The content of the exam is within the scope of the secondary school program issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, mainly within the grade 9 program. The exam ensures differentiation of student levels and is suitable for the prescribed time for each subject.
