(Baonghea.vn) - On the afternoon of March 14, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to review the work of forest management, protection and development in 2015 and the period 2011-2015; directions and tasks in 2016 and the period 2016-2020. Over the past 5 years (2011-2015), the province's forest area has been basically well managed and protected, with forest cover increasing every year (currently reaching 57%). Forests rich in resources and large forest reserves are being protected. In the past, there have been 114 fires in the province with an area of ​​over 434 hectares. State management of forest protection has been focused on and the authorities have detected more than 5,600 violations of the Law on Forest Protection and Development, confiscating nearly 11,490 m3 of forest products.³Wood of all kinds, budget revenue of more than 95 billion VND.

Regarding the results of implementing the plan targets for forest protection, development and use, 100% of the plan targets for forest protection and development have been completed, including: protecting more than 4,459,500 hectares, regenerating 195,101 hectares, planting 63,285 hectares of forests, planting more than 12 million manure trees, and caring for 104,380 hectares...

Forest exploitation and use, including exploitation of natural forest timber of more than 29,408 m³, exploiting planted forests 2,144,200 m³and create jobs and income for 47,500 households. The total mobilized capital for investment in the forest protection and development plan for the 2011-2015 period is nearly 1,990 billion VND, of which the state budget is 348 billion VND...

The goal of implementing the forest protection and development plan for the period 2016-2020 is to build and stabilize 3 types of forests. Increasing the proportion of forestry production in the economic structure of the agricultural sector and rural development. Speaking at the conference, Mr. Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of forest protection and development management in the period of 2011 - 2015, and at the same time requested that in the coming time, agencies and localities should focus on implementing well the work of forest protection, protection and development; conduct inventory and review of the current status of forests and forest land; carry out the conversion and arrangement of forestry companies.
