On the evening of September 11, Hung Nguyen District Police coordinated with Mobile Police, Fire Police, and Nghe An Provincial Police to send fire trucks to Hung Long Commune (Hung Nguyen District, Nghe An) to spray water to arrest a young man holding a gas tank and barricading himself in his house.

Colonel Le Van Thai - Head of Hung Nguyen District Police said: "This subject held a gas cylinder and barricaded himself in the house for many hours. When the police force entered, this person released gas and threatened. Given the above situation, we requested additional forces and fire trucks to come and arrest him."
After about 2 hours, the authorities were able to safely control the subject. Many items in the subject's house were destroyed.
It is known that the young man named Nguyen D. (born in 1994) has a mental illness, so tonight the authorities, local authorities and his family transferred him to Nghe An Provincial Mental Hospital for treatment.
