According to preliminary statistics of Vinh Green Park Joint Stock Company, there are about 6,000 trees in the area that were broken after the storm. This is not a small loss, because these trees are mostly old trees, which survived storm No. 5 a month ago. However, now they cannot withstand the strong and relentless winds of storm No. 10 all night long. Many trees that were recently re-erected by the forces have now been uprooted again, beyond the possibility of being saved.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung - Director of Vinh Green Park Joint Stock Company said: “After storm No. 10, we mobilized all human resources and equipment to clear fallen trees. Hundreds of workers were divided into many groups, using cranes and chainsaws to work continuously to quickly clear the road, ensuring safety for people. Along with that, the company closely coordinated with electricity and telecommunications to promptly handle unsafe areas.”

Faced with the traffic congestion after the storm, the People's Committees of the wards have also immediately deployed solutions. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phong - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Truong Vinh Ward emphasized: "We have determined that clearing fallen trees is an urgent task. On-site forces including police, militia, union members and youths have been mobilized to the maximum, in coordination with Vinh Green Park Joint Stock Company. The top priority is to clear the main roads so that people can travel conveniently and safely."

By noon on September 29, on many central streets, authorities and workers were still working urgently, trimming and transporting fallen trees out of the roadway while in residential areas, people proactively participated in cleaning, collecting branches, leaves and garbage. This cooperation contributed to speeding up the recovery process, gradually restoring the urban appearance after the storm.

While it is necessary to urgently overcome the immediate consequences, in the long term, localities need to develop a comprehensive tree management strategy, from choosing species suitable for the climate and soil, to planting techniques, care, and regular pruning. Thus, the new urban tree system can truly ensure safety against extreme natural disasters while maintaining the value of the landscape and ecological environment.
