Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just sent an official dispatch to the Department of Health, Department of Construction, Vinh City People's Committee and the towns of Cua Lo, Hoang Mai, Thai Hoa, and Dien Chau district on strengthening prevention and control of the epidemic caused by Covid-19 in apartment buildings.
The dispatch signed by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long assigned localities with apartment buildings to urgently notify and request the Building Management Board/Administrative Board to post propaganda notices and instruct people to wear masks and wash their hands properly with soap, clean water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer at locations in the apartment building such as the reception hall or elevator.

In particular, limit the organization of meetings and conferences, avoid large gatherings of people unless absolutely necessary to serve the prevention and control of the epidemic. It is recommended that people in apartment buildings wear masks, limit talking, coughing, and spitting in elevators, regularly use antibacterial hand sanitizer and use disease prevention measures as recommended by the Ministry of Health.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long also assigned the Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Construction to guide and direct the District People's Committees, investors, and apartment building management boards to implement epidemic prevention and control measures according to the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Construction and the Provincial People's Committee.
In addition, provincial leaders also required management boards of apartment buildings to grasp the movement of residents, especially for buildings and apartments with foreigners.
Timely detect and monitor cases passing through epidemic areas or suspected cases. Implement quarantine and disease prevention measures for residents coming from or passing through provinces and cities of China according to the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.
In case of suspected infection in the apartment building, it is necessary to promptly notify the local health authority to isolate, monitor and promptly treat infected cases; disinfect suspected epidemic areas in the apartment building according to regulations.
In addition, the Provincial People's Committee requested the above localities to make a list of apartment buildings in the area and send it to the Department of Health to direct the implementation of disinfection and sterilization for apartment buildings in the area; strictly implement epidemic prevention and control measures according to regulations.
