Nghe An organizes the first provincial-level book promotion and introduction contest

(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued a Plan to organize the 2022 Nghe An Province Book Promotion and Introduction Contest with the theme "Books and the Aspiration to Contribute". This is the first time the contest has been organized at the provincial level.

The purpose of the contest is to promote, popularize and introduce popular books, thereby arousing pride and love for the homeland and country of all classes of people, especially the young generation.

Through the contest, the position, role and good values of reading culture are affirmed in improving the capacity of Vietnamese people to access information and knowledge, contributing to improving people's knowledge, developing thinking and creativity, nurturing personality and soul, enhancing awareness of law compliance, forming a healthy lifestyle for the young generation, and promoting the building of a learning society.

The contestants are cadres, civil servants, public employees, and collaborators in charge of library work in districts, cities, towns, and libraries in the province. The teams participate in the contest in the form of dramatization, including 3 parts: Greeting, Book Introduction, and Talent.

Each participating unit must have at least 1-2 official members. For the greeting and talent competitions, collaborators who are talented in culture and arts in their locality can be invited.

In the greeting part: Each team chooses a way to introduce the locality, the team, the purpose and meaning of the competition. The introduction must be brief, with concise and easy-to-understand content that is appropriate to the competition theme.

Book introduction: Introduce the content, share your feelings about a work or a series of works that have inspired, spread knowledge, aroused your desire to contribute and make positive contributions to society (Must be at least 15 minutes).

Talent section: Candidates choose 1 talent subject that suits their strengths.

The competition is scheduled to take place from October 10-12, 2022, in Vinh city. The Organizing Committee will award 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 5 third prizes and consolation prizes to the competing teams.

In addition, there are also performance awards for the competitions: Most impressive team introduction award, Best book introduction award, Best talent demonstration award. In addition, there are thematic awards, including: Best script award and Best art design award.
