Nghe An plans to welcome 326 workers from Bac Giang back to their locality

On the morning of June 11, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to deploy a plan to temporarily welcome Nghe An workers from Bac Giang province back to their locality.

Accordingly, on June 9, 2021, Bac Giang province sent an official dispatch to Nghe An province regarding the temporary return of workers from provinces and cities from Bac Giang to their localities to reduce pressure on concentrated quarantine areas and density in blockade areas in Bac Giang province, and provide timely support for workers from Nghe An province working in Bac Giang province who need to temporarily return to their localities. The implementation period is from June 12 to June 15.

After receiving the official dispatch from Bac Giang province, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has developed a plan to temporarily welcome Nghe An workers from Bac Giang province back to their locality. Accordingly, up to now, there are 326 workers with permanent residence in Nghe An province currently living in Bac Giang province who wish to return to their locality. Of these, the majority are workers in Nghia Dan, Quy Hop, and Quy Chau districts.

These are F1 cases that have completed centralized quarantine, tested negative, are eligible to return to home quarantine, and people in quarantine and social distancing areas who have been screened, tested negative multiple times, and wish to return to their localities.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long requested the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to grasp the number of people returning to each hamlet and village, notify local authorities and families to prepare accommodation for returnees to ensure quarantine according to regulations. At the same time, it is necessary to develop a specific and methodical plan, only when conditions are guaranteed will workers be welcomed back.

After listening to the opinions of the meeting members, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung affirmed that welcoming workers from Nghe An province in Bac Giang back to their locality shows sympathy with Bac Giang province in the complicated situation of the epidemic. Besides, it is also sharing with workers from Nghe An province in Bac Giang, showing the province's concern for local children.

In order to implement the plan well, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to preside over and coordinate with relevant sectors to develop a specific and methodical scenario, and if possible, organize a centralized reception to ensure effectiveness. In particular, it is necessary to have a firm grasp of the list of specific addresses of each worker, and notify the local authorities and their families.

"To ensure absolute safety for Covid-19 prevention and control work and for workers, after receiving these cases, it is still necessary to strictly implement epidemic prevention measures according to regulations. For F1 cases, they must continue to isolate at home for at least 14 days and perform 2 tests; those in isolated and locked-down areas must also isolate at home and have their samples taken for testing immediately upon return."

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung requested the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control in localities to closely monitor home quarantine and recommend community monitoring when receiving these cases. The Department of Transport shall arrange vehicles to ensure appropriate transportation of workers.

In particular, the head of the provincial People's Committee requested all levels, sectors, and press agencies to do a good job of propaganda so that people in the province and especially people in localities where workers return to understand the policy and its humanity. These are people in the low-risk group and have no risk of being infected with Covid-19.

The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs coordinates with the Provincial Labor Federation and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to review, research, and advise the Provincial People's Committee on support policies for these workers.

Also on the morning of June 11, at the June 2021 thematic meeting, members of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee participated in supporting the provincial Covid-19 prevention and control fund. According to the summary of the Provincial People's Committee Office, the total amount of support was 108 million VND, which was then given to the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
