Nghe An plans to welcome citizens from the epidemic center of Da Nang back to their hometown
(Baonghean.vn) - While waiting for the Prime Minister's opinion, Nghe An province's leaders have assigned specific tasks to each department, branch, and locality to do a good job of welcoming citizens back home.
On August 24, the People's Committee of Nghe An province continued to send documents to departments, branches and localities in the province regarding the review of labor in Da Nang.
Accordingly, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long assigned the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to inspect, review and summarize the workers temporarily residing in Da Nang to report to the Provincial People's Committee. This Department is responsible for connecting and implementing the reception of Nghe An citizens from Da Nang to their localities in accordance with regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.
Meanwhile, after receiving approval from the Prime Minister, the Department of Transport is responsible for developing a plan to transport citizens to Nghe An.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Health to be responsible for professional work on Covid-19 prevention and control during the process of receiving and quarantining Nghe An citizens returning home. The People's Committees of districts, cities and towns prepare locations and organize centralized quarantine for returning citizens in accordance with regulations.
Previously, while waiting for the Prime Minister's opinion, Da Nang issued a document requesting Nghe An and other localities to set up a hotline and widely announce to receive information from citizens temporarily residing in Da Nang to register to return home. At the same time, finalize the number and specific list to agree on the gathering location.

According to the plan, Da Nang will organize testing for citizens and transport them to the gathering point. Localities such as Nghe An will arrange vehicles to the gathering point to pick up citizens to return.
Da Nang began social distancing on July 28 after several cases were reported in the community. To date, according to the Ministry of Health, 540 Covid-19 cases related to the city have been recorded in the past month.
In early August, Thua Thien - Hue sent military vehicles to pick up workers returning from Da Nang to quarantine for 14 days. Then, on August 20, Quang Ngai organized to pick up nearly 1,000 workers from Da Nang to return to their hometown for quarantine.
Meanwhile, over the past month, more than 2,000 Nghe An citizens in Da Nang have voluntarily returned to their hometowns. Many even accepted to walk across Hai Van Pass to find their way home.
According to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, as of August 25, only nearly 1,200 Nghe An citizens in Da Nang have registered to return home. Of these, nearly half are students, the rest are workers and freelancers.
