Nghe An: Tornado knocks down trees, causes local power outages in Ky Son
(Baonghean.vn) - At around 4:00 p.m. on May 9, a tornado occurred in Xop Tu village, My Ly commune, Ky Son district (Nghe An), causing trees and electric poles to fall.
The banyan tree fell on the power line, breaking and damaging four electric poles and a long section of power line, causing a local power outage in My Ly commune. In addition, the fallen trees affected the movement of people and vehicles.

Currently, the People's Committee of My Ly commune and the Ky Son electricity sector are actively overcoming the consequences to soon re-issue electricity to the people.
To date, there have been no statistics on the damage caused by the tornado.
