(Baonghean.vn) - At 1:45 p.m. on May 18, a strong tornado occurred in Hoa Binh town (Tuong Duong), causing the entire roof of the dormitory of the Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities - Secondary School in Tuong Duong district to be blown away in just a moment.

The teachers' dormitory building had its roof completely stripped off by the tornado.

According to witnesses, the tornado struck suddenly and lasted only 15 minutes, causing many people to panic. The local tornado completely blew off the roof of the 2-story teachers' dormitory with 8 rooms.

The disaster occurred when 24 boarding students were sleeping in 3 rooms in the dormitory. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

The roof was also damaged by the tornado.

According to initial estimates, the damage caused by the local tornado is estimated at 100 million VND.
