Ky Son: Tornado causes trees to fall, damages kindergarten facilities
Heavy rain and tornadoes on the afternoon of May 4 caused trees to fall and damaged many teaching materials and equipment of My Ly 2 Kindergarten, My Ly Commune, Ky Son District.
According to information from the My Ly commune government (Ky Son), on the afternoon of May 4, heavy rain accompanied by a tornado occurred in the commune. At My Ly 2 Kindergarten in Yen Hoa village, the tornado caused trees in the school grounds to fall down and many children's toys in the schoolyard were damaged.
"The tornado hit when teachers were on holiday and did not have time to respond. Fortunately, it was a holiday and students were not in class so there were no casualties," said a representative of the commune government.
Currently, the authorities of My Ly commune are actively counting the damage and overcoming the consequences so that the school can soon stabilize teaching activities.
It is known that in the last days of April and early May, a tornado occurred in Ky Son district, affecting a number of houses and schools in the communes of Keng Du, Huu Kiem, Na Loi, Nam Can, My Ly.../.
