Nghe An: Many roads are seriously degraded
(Baonghean.vn) - In recent times, Nghe An has focused on upgrading and repairing many important traffic routes. However, there are still many provincial and inter-commune traffic routes that are degraded, affecting the traffic and travel of the people.

For example, Provincial Road 538 (intersection with National Highway 48D) into communesTan Thang, Quynh Vinh, Quynh Luu district. This was originally a pineapple raw material route managed by the district level, and since 2017 has been upgraded to Provincial Road 538. Mr. Tran Minh Chien - a local resident shared: "The current route is severely damaged, making it very difficult to travel, when it is sunny it is dusty, when it rains there are many places where the road is muddy".
According to observations, the entire stretch of road is full of potholes, bumpy, and sinking, creating "traps" on the road that increase the risk of traffic accidents. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh - Chairman of Tan Thang Commune People's Committee said: The main cause of damage to this road is the large trucks carrying construction materials. This road is degraded, making it difficult for vehicles to travel, making it difficult for people to purchase agricultural products.

In the same situation, the road connecting National Highway 7 to Nhan Tai Gia Giang village in Cam Son commune, Anh Son district has also been seriously degraded over the past few years. The section passing through Cam Son commune in particular is severely damaged, with the road surface peeling off everywhere and rocks scattered everywhere.
Ms. Tran Thi Minh in Cam Loi hamlet, Cam Son commune, was upset: "During the acacia harvest season, people are often forced to lower prices by traders because the road is too difficult to travel." A representative of Cam Son commune People's Committee added: This road passes through Cam Son commune with a length of over 5 km, since the 2 quarries in this area have been operating, this road has been more seriously damaged.
Through research, it is known that Nhan Tai Gia Giang route is an inter-commune route passing through Long Son, Linh Son, Phuc Son, Long Son, Cam Son communes... which has strategic significance in the socio-economic development of Anh Son district, aiming to exploit the potential for developing raw material areas for forest, sugarcane and tea plantations of the above communes. This route also has significance in terms of security and defense, connecting communes near the border belt. Currently, Anh Son district is submitting a request to competent authorities, as well as combining capital sources to soon have a plan for repair and upgrading.

Besides, Nghia Hanh road to Phu Son commune(Tan Ky)More than 10 years of unfinished construction. The recent rains have made some sections of the road muddy and difficult for vehicles to travel. Over the years, during meetings with voters, people in Phu Son commune have expressed their opinions about the damaged road condition. The local government has also repeatedly proposed and recommended to competent authorities to upgrade and repair the road.
A representative of the Tan Ky District Construction Management Board added: The road from Nghia Hanh Commune to Phu Son Commune, about 18 km long, has been invested in and built by the Tan Ky District People's Committee since 2009 with a total cost of 117 billion VND (expected to be completed and put into use after 36 months).

However, due to many reasons, this road has remained unfinished for more than 10 years. In 2021, the People's Committee of Tan Ky district agreed to stop the old project and implement a new project. Due to financial difficulties, the project has only been able to upgrade over 1.6 km of Phu Son road to Nghia Hanh commune. Since July 15, the road has been under construction, however, due to unfavorable weather and many rains, the road surface has not been able to be constructed.

According to the survey, Nghe An currently has many seriously degraded roads, such as the route from Dien Bich commune to Dien Ngoc (Dien Chau), Thanh Yen route (Thanh Chuong), Provincial Road 542 B through Hung Thinh commune, Hung Nguyen district.../.
Quy Chau: Chau Hoi - Chau Nga traffic route is seriously degraded.
