Nghe An: Breaking up a transnational drug case, seizing 50 heroin cakes
(Baonghean.vn)- The police force of Ky Son district (Nghe An) has just successfully dismantled a transnational drug trafficking ring from Laos to Vietnam, seizing 50 heroin cakes.
After a long period of surveillance, at around 9:00 p.m. on May 26, at Phanh Dan 2 Hotel in Son Thanh Village, Ta Ca Commune, the Investigation Police Team of Ky Son District Police caught red-handed two drug traffickers, Cho Cha (also known as Long Cha), born in 1978, residing in Thung Tha Village, Muong Pet District, Xieng Khouang Province - Lao PDR and Gia Rua Tua, born in 1962, residing in Huoi Xai Village, Na Ngoi Commune, Ky Son District.

At the scene, the authorities seized 50 heroin bricks, 3 cell phones and 200 USD. When surrounded, the subjects used sharp knives to fight back fiercely.
But with intelligence and courage, Ky Son police force controlled the subject.

According to the initial statements of the subjects, the above goods were brought from Laos to Vietnam for consumption. Currently, the case is being further investigated by the Ky Son District Police.
