Nghe An: Launching activities to celebrate Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21)
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 14th, at Ly Nhat Quang Secondary School (Do Luong district), the Department of Culture and Sports, in coordination with Do Luong district, organized the launching ceremony to respond to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day and the 4th Nghe An Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest, 2022.
Attending the launching ceremony were leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports; representatives of leaders from provincial departments, agencies, and units; representatives of sponsors; leaders of Do Luong district; and teachers and a large number of students from Ly Nhat Quang Secondary School and other schools in Do Luong district.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports, Ms. Quach Thi Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department - launched the campaign to celebrate Book Day.Reading cultureVietnam, the 4th Nghe An Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest, 2022. To affirm the role of books and promote the development of reading culture, in 2017, the Government approved the Project "Developing Reading Culture in the Community".

In 2021, the Government signed a Decision designating April 21st of each year as...Book Dayand Vietnamese reading culture. Through this, we affirm the position, role, and importance of books; honor readers, authors, publishers, printers, and distributors; and enhance the responsibility of all levels, sectors, functional agencies, and social organizations towards building and developing Vietnamese reading culture.
In 2019, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched the Reading Culture Ambassador Contest. Since then, on average, there have been nearly 1 million entries nationwide each year (with approximately 69,000 entries from Nghe An province alone). This year,competitionWith the theme "Aspiration for National Development," the exam questions were reformed to enhance critical thinking skills and encourage the proactive and creative participation of candidates.

This year, the Reading Culture Ambassador competition has the theme "Aspiration for National Development," and the exam questions have been improved to enhance critical thinking skills and encourage the initiative and creativity of the contestants.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports hopes that everyone will dedicate a valuable amount of time each day and each week toread a book, enriching their own knowledge base. Every library and school should organize diverse activities to promote Book Day and develop a reading culture; every department, agency, and organization should organize activities in response to Vietnam Book Day and Reading Culture that are appropriate to the actual needs of their unit…

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee approved the regulations for the 4th Nghe An Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest, 2022, and provided basic information about the contest for participants.schoolStudents from across the province participated in the competition.
