Located at the foot of Qua Mountain, along the Lam River in Boi Son Commune (Do Luong District), Qua Son Temple is one of the "four sacred animals" of Nghe An. In the first days of the year, many people eagerly come here to visit the spring, offer prayers for peace and ask for "letters" to wish for good things and luck in the new year.

According to documents of the People's Committee of Do Luong district, Qua Son temple worships Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang (the 8th prince of King Ly Cong Uan), who was the Governor of Nghe An from 1041-1057. In his position, Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang made many glorious achievements in fighting the enemy to protect the border, building Nghe An into a prosperous region, a reliable base of the royal court. With his great achievements, after his death, the people of Nghe An built many temples to worship him, including Qua Son temple. Qua Son temple festival is held from January 19-20 every year. Although there are two main calligraphy styles: Vietnamese calligraphy and Chinese calligraphy.
