The Food Safety Action Month 2025 will take place from April 15th to May 15th, 2025, with the theme "Ensuring food safety, focusing on food safety in collective kitchens, catering services, and street food."

On the morning of April 14th, at Xanh Tue Duc Primary and Secondary School (Vinh City), the Nghe An Provincial Food Safety Steering Committee organized the launching ceremony for the 2025 Food Safety Action Month.

Attending the ceremony were: Mr. Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Food Safety Steering Committee; Ms. Le Thi Hoai Chung - Director of the Department of Health, Standing Member of the Provincial Food Safety Steering Committee; members of the Provincial Food Safety Steering Committee; representatives of leaders from departments, agencies, and localities in the province; food production, processing, and trading establishments in Vinh City; and students of Xanh Tue Duc Primary and Secondary School.

The Food Safety Action Month 2025 will take place from April 15th to May 15th, 2025, with the theme "Ensuring food safety, focusing on food safety in collective kitchens, catering services, and street food."

This year's theme focuses intensely on "hot spots" that often pose potential food safety risks, directly impacting public health, especially students, workers, and consumers who use ready-made food outside the home.

To ensure the effective implementation of the 2025 Food Safety Action Month, Ms. Le Thi Hoai Chung requested that departments, agencies, political and social organizations, and all levels of government focus on seriously implementing directives and plans from the Central Government, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee on ensuring food safety; strengthen propaganda and community education, raise awareness, and change people's behavior regarding the selection and use of safe food; and encourage organizations and businesses to participate in communication programs, aiming to form responsible consumption habits.

Strengthen inspection, supervision, and strict handling of violations, especially for food production and business establishments that do not meet quality standards or have unclear origins; encourage and support the widespread adoption of safe food production models, organic food, and clean agricultural products, gradually building a transparent and sustainable food supply chain; strongly apply information technology and promote digital transformation in food safety management; strengthen monitoring of food contamination risks, proactively detect and prevent them early.

With the motto "no unsafe food will get through meals," the Provincial Food Safety Steering Committee aims to more strictly and comprehensively control food quality in the province, especially in collective kitchens, catering services, and street food vendors, contributing to protecting public health, building a safe, civilized living environment, and sustainable development.
