Nghe An launches Action Month for Food Safety in 2025
Food Safety Action Month 2025 takes place from April 15 to May 15, 2025, with the theme "Ensuring food safety, focusing on food safety in collective kitchens, catering services, and street food".

On the morning of April 14, at Green Tue Duc Primary and Secondary School (Vinh city), the Food Safety Steering Committee of Nghe An province held the launching ceremony of the Month of Action for Food Safety in 2025.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Food Safety Steering Committee; Le Thi Hoai Chung - Director of the Department of Health, Standing Member of the Provincial Food Safety Steering Committee; members of the Provincial Food Safety Steering Committee; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors and localities in the province; food production, processing and trading establishments in Vinh city; students of Xanh Tue Duc Primary and Secondary School.

The situation of food of unknown origin and of poor quality is still complicated. Management of small establishments and street food is still limited. The situationpoisoningFood poisoning, especially in communal kitchens, still occurs.
Food Safety Action Month 2025 takes place from April 15 to May 15, 2025, with the theme "Ensuring food safety, focusing on food safety in collective kitchens, catering services, and street food".
This year's theme focuses on "hotspots" that often pose potential food safety risks, directly affecting public health, especially students, workers and consumers who consume ready-to-eat food outside the home.

In order for the Food Safety Action Month 2025 to be effectively implemented, Comrade Le Thi Hoai Chung requested departments, branches, socio-political organizations and authorities at all levels to focus on seriously implementing the directives and plans of the Central Government, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on ensuring security; strengthen propaganda, community education, raise awareness, change people's behavior in choosing and using safe food; encourage organizations and businesses to participate in communication programs, aiming to form responsible consumption habits.
Strengthen inspection, examination, supervision, and strict handling of violations, especially for establishments producing and trading food that does not ensure quality or has unknown origin; encourage and support the replication of safe food production models, organic food, and clean agricultural products, gradually building a transparent and sustainable food supply chain; strongly apply information technology, promote digital transformation in food safety management; strengthen the monitoring of food contamination risks, proactively detect and prevent early.

With the spirit of "not letting dirty food get through meals", the Provincial Food Safety Steering Committee aims to control food quality more closely and comprehensively in the area, especially in collective kitchens, catering services and street food businesses, contributing to protecting people's health, building a safe, civilized and sustainable living environment./.
