Nghe An denies information about detecting a positive case of Covid-19
(Baonghean.vn) - Up to now, Nghe An has not recorded any cases testing positive for Covid-19 due to community transmission.
At 6 p.m. on May 6, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Director of the Center for Disease Control (CDC Nghe An), denied information in the unit's test results that were spreading on social networks, including one positive case.
"I confirm once again that Nghe An has not recorded any cases of infection or suspected community infection. All information on social networks about this is fake news, causing public confusion," Mr. Dinh said.

Previously, on social networks, the Covid-19 test results of the Nghe An Province Center for Disease Control were circulated. In which, the results of 4 people were clearly negative, while the remaining F1 case residing in Vinh City was recorded as "SAR" in the results section.
"This form has been faked. Furthermore, if it was positive, we would have clearly written it as positive, not SAR. We also hope that the police will step in to handle the fake news related to this issue," said an officer directly involved in testing.

Not only are there fake test results, but according to Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh, fake news has also been spread on social media about Nghe An detecting 10 positive cases spreading in the community. "I don't know where that news came from. But the Ministry of Health called to ask, we had to continuously deny it," Mr. Dinh added.
To date, Nghe An has collected 44,915 samples for Covid-19 testing; of which 44,817 samples have negative results; 19 samples have positive results of 4 patients who were quarantined immediately after entering the country from abroad. Of which, 3 patients are being quarantined and treated at the Southwest Regional General Hospital and 1 patient has recovered and been discharged from the hospital.
