Nghe An issues urgent dispatch requesting to temporarily suspend festivals due to nCoV epidemic
(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Committee of Nghe An province directed the temporary suspension of festivals that have not yet opened, requiring people to wear masks when participating in activities at relics.
That is the direction content in urgent dispatch No. 443/UBND-KGVX dated February 1, 2020 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.
Accordingly, the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns in the area are requested to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the contents of Official Dispatch No. 79-CV/TW dated January 29, 2020 of the Standing Committee of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat; Directive 06/CT-TTg dated January 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister; Official Dispatch No. 393/CD-BVHTTDL dated January 3, 2020 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the prevention and control of acute respiratory infections caused by the new strain of Corona virus (nCoV).

Regularly update and monitor the epidemic situation, promptly provide full and accurate information to people and tourists; promote propaganda work at relics about disease prevention and control measures.
Temporarily suspend the organization of festivals that have not opened yet; for festivals that have opened, the scale and duration of the festival and the activities during the festival must be reduced; activities that gather large crowds of participants must be limited, ensuring conditions for disease prevention and control according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health. People must wear masks when participating in activities at festivals and relics.
The Department of Culture and Sports regularly inspects and provides guidance to ensure that the organization of festivals in the province complies with legal regulations and ensures the health and lives of the people.
The Department of Information and Communications directed press agencies to step up propaganda work so that people limit their participation in spring travel and festival activities; and strictly implement disease prevention and control measures according to the guidance of the Ministry of Health.
