(Baonghean.vn) - Once a teacher but fired, Vo Thi Hang rented a self-driving car, used luxury goods, created a cover as a rich, successful person to commit many scams, appropriating assets worth more than 700 million VND.

On December 8, Colonel Cao Tien Mai - Head of Nam Dan District Police said: The Investigation Police Agency of Nam Dan District Police is still detaining Vo Thi Hang (born in 1987), residing in Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District, to investigate the act of Fraudulent appropriation of property.

Previously, from the beginning of 2017 until now, through the form of renting self-driving cars, then forging documents to pawn and trick people into running errands, Hang has appropriated more than 700 million VND from many people.

Vo Thi Hang graduated from the Department of Culture and Arts and once taught music on contract at a secondary school in Nam Dan district. However, after the need for teaching was no longer there, the school terminated the contract with Hang.

Because she was used to a lavish life and spending money without regret, when she became unemployed, Hang thought of all kinds of tricks to make money, and the fastest way this teacher thought of was to scam and appropriate other people's property.

To carry out this intention, under the guise of being a teacher, around December 2016, Hang went to Vinh City to rent a Kia Rio with license plate 26,227, for 18 million VND/month from Mr. Pham Dinh Dung (born in 1977) as a means of transportation to show off.

However, in early April 2017, due to lack of money to spend, Hang had the idea of pawning this car. To pawn it for a lot of money, Vo Thi Hang searched online for information, then hired someone to fake a set of documents for 6 million VND and then brought the car to the house of Nguyen Hoang Son (born in 1975), residing in Hamlet 4, Nam Anh Commune, to pawn it for 250 million VND.

After a while, Hang did not return the car. When contacted, Hang used the excuse of being sick or on a business trip to delay the return, forcing Mr. Pham Dinh Dung (born in 1977), the owner of a car rental business on Doc Thiet Street, Hung Binh Ward (Vinh City), to file a complaint with the police.

While in the process of collecting information to identify the subject's behavior, on November 15, 2017, Nam Dan District Police received a report from Mr. Nguyen Hoang Son with the following content: Around April 2017, teacher Vo Thi Hang came to his house to pawn a car worth 250 million VND.

However, it was not until early November 2017 that Mr. Son was shocked to discover that all the documents of this car were fake. Linking together the events, the investigator determined that the car that Vo Thi Hang pawned was rented from Mr. Pham Dinh Dung's establishment.

During the investigation, the biggest difficulty was that the subject had quite complicated relationships and an unstable residence, so although there was enough basis to summon him to fight, it was unsuccessful.

However, based on information from people about Hang being continuously approached by creditors to collect debts and related information, using professional measures, investigators clearly understood her actions.

As soon as this female monster appeared at a coffee shop in Nam Dan district, detectives immediately appeared and "invited" the subject to the Nam Dan district police headquarters to fight and clarify.

At the Investigation Police Agency, faced with undeniable documents and evidence, Vo Thi Hang bowed her head and admitted her guilt and confessed all her actions. In addition to the case that had been directly denounced, during the investigation, Nam Dan District Police also clarified some of Hang's previous fraudulent acts.

Accordingly, since December 2016, Hang has begun to commit fraud and appropriate other people's property. Not only did she rent cars and motorbikes as collateral, but she also received money to get jobs and get into some universities with amounts agreed upon between the two parties.

To gain the trust of her victims, Hang dressed herself in a luxurious and stylish way. With her good looks and charming speaking skills, many people, even though Hang had defrauded them of hundreds of millions of dong, still did not realize it.

Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Nghia Thanh, Head of the General Investigation Team, Nam Dan District Police, said: Before renting a car, Hang often used a nice phone number to contact, then used different means of transportation, sometimes driving a K3, sometimes a CX5, making the property owner think he had the means to rent the car.

After renting the car, the subject also used the trick of forging documents to get a large sum of money.

Initially, Hang admitted to renting 3 cars, then pawning them and tricking many people into running errands to appropriate hundreds of millions of dong. Currently, the Investigation Police Agency and Nam Dan District Police are continuing to expand the investigation of the case./.
