The campaign "Managing and exploiting good, durable, safe, economical and traffic-safe technical weapons and equipment" for the 2020-2024 period has changed the awareness and actions of officers and soldiers.
On the morning of June 20, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command held a conference to review 5 years of the campaign "Managing and exploiting good, durable, safe, economical and traffic-safe technical weapons and equipment" for the 2020-2024 period (Campaign 50).
Attending the conference were Major General Le Hong Nhan - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Military Region 4; representatives of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command and the Nghe An Provincial Traffic Safety Committee.
Over the past 5 years, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command has implemented the "50 Campaign" in the context of a basically stable political security situation in the area, economic development, and improved people's lives. The process of performing tasks regularly receives attention, leadership, and direction from the Party Committee Standing Committee, the Military Region Command, and guidance from the Military Region 4 agency. Officers and soldiers have a high sense of responsibility in performing their tasks; technical equipment is supplemented, repaired, and synchronized; technical facilities are planned, invested, and upgraded.
However, the technical equipment is of many types, mostly old equipment, with low uniformity; technical materials are lacking and scarce; the guaranteed budget is limited; staff in units are uneven, and there is a shortage of technical staff in the district.
Grasping the situation, the Provincial Military Command has led and directed agencies and units to comprehensively implement the contents and goals of the "50 Campaign", promoting the strength of all forces and achieving many clear results.
Accordingly, agencies and units in the whole province have thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the resolutions and directives of the Party, the Government, and the instructions of the Steering Committee 50 of the Military Region and the province on organizing and implementing the campaign. "Campaign 50" has created a vibrant and widespread emulation movement, making technical work increasingly go into depth; changing the awareness and actions of officers and soldiers in managing, exploiting, preserving technical equipment and in participating in traffic.
Typical in implementing the "50 Campaign" in the period of 2020 - 2024 are: Military Commands of Que Phong, Nam Dan, Do Luong, Thanh Chuong districts, Cua Lo town and many departments under the Provincial Military Command.
At the conference, receiving the direction of the leaders of Military Region 4, the Provincial Military Command proposed the direction to organize the implementation of the "50 Campaign" for the period 2025-2029. Accordingly, the Provincial Military Command will continue to effectively implement the action program to implement Resolution 1656 of the Central Military Commission; promote the implementation of technical work with the motto "Self-reliance, self-strengthening, proactiveness, creativity, technology, innovation"; perform well the task of managing and exploiting technical equipment, well meeting the military and defense tasks of the Provincial armed forces; ensure absolute safety of warehouses, stations and workshops; minimize traffic and labor safety incidents.
On this occasion, the Provincial Military Command commended 10 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the "50 Campaign" for the 2020-2024 period; launched a response to the movement to continue promoting the implementation of the campaign "Managing the exploitation of good, durable, safe, economical and traffic-safe technical weapons and equipment" for the 2025-2029 period./.
