Nghe An established youth volunteer teams to participate in preventing and fighting African swine fever.

On the evening of June 7, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union organized a "Union-wide meeting" to educate youth union members about the prevention and control of African swine fever at Dien Chau and Quynh Luu points.

Under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union simultaneously deployed "Union Activities" in June throughout the province with the content of propaganda about African swine fever.

With the theme "Youth actively propagates the prevention of African swine fever", the Youth Union bases disseminated information on the developments and situation of the epidemic, signs of recognition, harm, level of danger and the implementation of measures to prevent and control African swine fever.

At the meeting, the youth union organizations proactively selected many rich, attractive and suitable forms of activities to the local situation, such as dramatization and the use of appropriate propaganda tools to raise awareness among youth union members and people in preventing, fighting and controlling epidemics in the locality.

Also on this occasion, each youth union established a youth volunteer team to fight African swine fever to coordinate with specialized agencies, mobilize forces to coordinate with functional sectors to deploy measures to prevent the disease from spreading into an epidemic in the community through participating in checkpoints to prohibit the transportation of pigs and pig products in and out of epidemic areas in the locality; organize disinfection spraying at markets, gathering points, livestock areas, farms...

In Quynh Luu, 13 commune and town Youth Unions simultaneously organized Youth Union activities attracting more than 2,000 youth union members and residents to participate. The activities of the whole Union have created a vibrant atmosphere, not only improving the quality of Union activities, increasing the rate of gathering youth union members into the organization, contributing to building an increasingly strong Union organization, but also raising awareness among youth union members and people about disease prevention in livestock and poultry farming.
