(Baonghean.vn) - 31 communes recognized as meeting New Rural standards; Frost appears in many places in Western Nghe An; Despite the cold, Nghe An farmers still stick to their fields and sea; Arresting a scammer via social networks... are the highlights of January 10.

*CChairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just signeddecision to recognize 31 communes9 districts and towns meet new rural standards in 2020 according to the National Criteria for New Rural Areas.

According to this decision, each commune will be awarded a welfare project worth 500 million VND; and supported with 50 million VND to organize the ceremony to announce the commune meeting new rural standards.

*DA severe cold spell has occurred since early January 2021 in Nghe An province, especially in mountainous areas that have been severely affected. Temperatures are dropping, with some places dropping by 1-2 degrees, such as Muong Long, Na Ngoi, Muong Ai in Ky Son district, and Nhon Mai commune in Tuong Duong district. In particular, many places haveice and snowcovered with white grass like in Buoc Mu 1 village, Na Ngoi commune, a village near the border.

*NThese days the temperature in Nghe An is low, butfarmers still stick to the fields, stick to the sea to keep up with the seasonal schedule.Flower growers in Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh... also have to go out to take care of their fields during these cold days. For fishermen and small boats returning during the day, to protect themselves from the cold while traveling at sea, only raincoats can survive.
